As I write this I am adjusting to life as a non-bachelor, to be more precise I am now engaged. This is a common occurance throughout the world and blogging as a bachelor is a bit silly now I am ready to settle down… wait a minute, do guys really just become mindless man meat once they get married?
A Man Of His Own – With a Perfect Woman
The key to finding happiness is being with someone that loves you being yourself. That way once you get married you will be able to enjoy each others company and not much will change except for the exclusivity of the relationship. That sounds a bit naive but to be honest I am an optimistic person and very much in love.
If you propose to a woman it really means that you understand her and are willing to share your life with them. Too many couples want to get married so that they can have a life. I am happy because my partner is very accomplished and has here interests and life and I have mine. We kind of ‘meet in the middle’ and we always have stuff to talk about because we don’t do the same things together everyday.
Same Same = Bored out of Brain
Dating or marrying someone you are identical with is just a bit creepy. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone who is the same as you? I don’t think so! Yes, you need to love the person you are with but you also need to be with someone who challenges the way you think, makes you a better person, and someone you can learn something new about even after knowing them for a while.
This is called living, and despite now being engaged the Ineligible Bachelor column will contunue bigger and better than ever. We will be starting a new site called WonderfulWeddingWorld.com soon but I will be blogging about my experiences becoming a “husband to be”. Too many brides share their stories and it is time the guys had a voice in this whole marriage thing.
