You may have met someone online via facebook, twitter or through one of the many online dating sites. This means you would have had lots of conversations via the internet so how do you move beyond that?

A Matter of Trust

The first step in taking an online date offline is trust as both people need to be comfortable.

  • Decide to meet up somewhere neutral, preferably somewhere you both know.
  • Meet up somewhere public.
  • Consider having some friends come along.

These steps make it ok to meet up offline in a safe way.

What to Do on a Date

The problem with so much online dating is that people are losing the ability to impress girls or guys on dates. This doesn’t mean they aren’t interesting or good people to date. Rather, it means that they need some skills in being social.

  • Stick to what you know!
  • You can’t go wrong with a meal and movie.
  • If you want a unique date don’t make it too weird!

So don’t try and think too much and you will start to figure out how to date. The first few dates will always be the hardest so relax and just get to know someone. The beauty of online dating is that you would have had a lot of chats already so you should have plenty to talk about.

Good luck with your online dating!
