With the new Torchwood Miracle Day series three shows in it is a good time to recap and see how the adventures of Captain Jack Harkness have been spanning out. The new series has a good premise, that a ‘miracle’ has occurred in which nobody dies anymore and interestingly the immortal Jack has now become mortal!
The American ‘intervention’ with this series has worked out ok and even though it is more streamlined it seems to work ok. The new format will be a little weird for old Torchwood fans though.
I would not give the series a good or bad rating as yet. It is more something that should span out but I really hope they don’t take too long to bring some action back into the show.
It is reminding me a bit of the Stargate – Universe remakes that seemed to try and be too dramatic for their own good. If you have been watching the series or haven’t tried to watch give it a go and it seems the storyline will be rewarding in the end.
