If you are looking to change the way you date then you really should move beyond your usual comfort zone. Dating is supposed to be a little dangerous to your self esteem and even to your wallet! While it is important to feel comfortable around your date it can also help keep you on your toes if you are uncomfortable.
Where No-One Knows Your Name
The problem a lot of guys (and girls) face is the limited amount of places they frequent. This is also done primarily with friends or work colleagues. When you think about it this means you are less likely to meet anyone new especially if it is a regular or small bar.
This doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time and it is also a chance to explore and experience new places. Go out on a limb! If you are going to a new place (or even a new country!) you are also more likely to strike up a conversation with somebody. Still if you do not like where you have gone do what you usually do and move on to somewhere else and don’t give up.
Going It Alone
There is a lot of stuff you will hear about dating and having a “wingman”. While it is sensible for girls who are going out in some situations to have a friend with them guys can push it a little further. Think about how many more times mates have stuffed up your chances with a girl rather than helping you.
Heading out alone also allows you the chance to force yourself to be social. Don’t think of yourself as alone but rather waiting to meet someone. If you are comfortable with yourself and are able to have fun then you can be free of the usual routine you experience with friends.
Break Out of Boredom
The most important thing is to break out of the boredom you might find yourself in. Doing things we don’t usually do excites the brain (and possibly the body!) so push yourself beyond your comfort zone when dating or looking for dates. This doesn’t mean to seek out danger but to try new places where you just might meet the girl or guy of your dream. Make a list of all the regular things you do and see what you can change to have more fun!
